FESTIVALS IN HONOUR OF SAN GREGORIO

   In the first week of June.

   These festivals are also called "Youth Feasts" because the younger citizens are in charge of organising the events.

   During these celebrations sporting activities and street parties take place all around the town.

CELEBRATIONS IN HONOUR OF OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION

   Take place between the 14th and the 17th of August.

   The most interesting things are the following:

  •   On the first day there is a drawing contest for children. At night we celebrate the naming of the queen with a speech. After this, the procession of La Virgen de la Asunción takes place from the Orduña house to the church. After the procession the town hall invites everyone to have a drink and the street party begins.

  •   On the second day there is an offering of flowers to the Virgin and a music parade. In the afternoon there are cultural activities taking place that end with the beginning of the street parties.

  •   During the morning of the third day there is another parade and a mass, in the afternoon children can go to the funfair. At night there are street parties.

  •   On the fourth day there is another parade and a mass in honour of our Virgin. During the afternoon the virgin is taken in procession to the Orduña House. By night there are more street parties and the end of the celebrations takes place with a firework display.
